How can I increase the water pressure of my combi boiler if it is too low?

If you find that one day your boiler is no longer sending hot water through your taps, or that there is less than usual, then you may need to adjust the water pressure in your boiler.

  1. This is a straightforward task, simply locate the water pressure valve, which can be found near the piping (usually located under the boiler).
  2. Then locate the boiler pressure guage, which should also be located at the bottom of most combi boilers.
  3. Turn the valve 90 degrees either way, and you will notice that the boiler pressure will increase on the guage.
  4. Increase the pressure to around 1.5 bar, then turn the valve back to it's original position. The pressure should then stop rising.

You're done! If you find that there is still no hot water then there may be other issues, our boiler fault finding tips and advice could help you further.
