Electric Boiler

What is an electric boiler?
Most electric boilers function by passing the cold water over heating elements within the boiler casing, providing instant water to the taps. Very little heat is wasted, ensuring modern electric boilers have excellent energy saving properties.
Electric boilers are an ideal solution for particularly small spaces, or where gas isn't available. Modern electric boilers are also extremely efficient (some up to 99% efficiency), so you can reduce your impact on the environment if fitted to small bathrooms or taps.
Advantages of an electric boiler
- Electric Boilers are very quiet due to having a lot less moving parts.
- It is easier to repair or service an electric boiler due to the lack of gas valves and fewer moving parts.
- With no flue or fuel tanks required an electric boiler can be fitted almost anywhere.
- Electric boilers are more compact than most other boiler models, so they are practical for many otherwise difficult applications.
- An electric boiler gives the same comfort and controllability as a gas boiler.
- There is no requirement for annual gas safety certificate or service with an electric boiler.
- To increase the output you can link several electric boilers together.
Disadvantages to an electric boiler
- The water heating ability of an electric boiler is limited, and electric boilers are not usually powerful enough to provide hot water for an whole home. Whilst it is possible to link electric boilers together for more output, this results in higher installation costs and higher electricity bills.
